Nokia C32 is the direct successor to the Nokia C31 released by HMD Global in September 2022. It is a mid-range device that offers basic features at an affordable price point. The C32 has a 6.5 inches display with 720 x 1600 pixels resolution. The affordable android phone also equipped with an octa-core processor with 5000 mAh battery and a dual rear camera consisting of 50 MP primary, 2MP macro lens and 8MP selfie shooter.

Design

The Nokia C32 has a simple and functional design that is typical of mid-range smartphones. It has a glass body with a matte finish that provides a good grip and makes it less prone to fingerprint smudges. The slim frame is  made of metallic-finish frame which gives a refined look and feel.

On the front of the C32, there is 6.5-inch IPS LCD display with a dewdrop notch at the top center that houses the front-facing camera. The bezels around the screen are relatively thin, but the chin is slightly thicker than the rest.

Although the back panel of the device looks sturdy, it is durable with a toughened glass finish,  two tone and elegant design that resist fingerprint smudges. The back has a dual-camera setup at the top left corner, which protrudes slightly from the body. The camera module is holds the dual camera lenses and a LED flash, while the Nokia branding is placed vertically in the middle.

For functionality, Nokia C32 houses the power button that also serves as the fingerprint sensor, and volume rocker on the right, while the left side has a dedicated Google Assistant button, SIM/MicroSD slot. The top of the device has a 3.5mm headphone jack, while the bottom has a micro-USB port, speaker and a primary microphone.

Display

The Nokia C32 bright 6.5-inch HD+ display comes with a resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels and a 20:9 aspect ratio. The display has a pixel density of 270 pixels per inch and a screen-to-body ratio of 81.6%.

Although, this 6.5-inch IPS LCD display might not be particularly high-end, as it has a relatively low resolution and pixel density compared to some other smartphones on the market. However, it should be adequate for most everyday use cases, such as browsing the web, watching videos, or using social media.

One thing that the Nokia C32 does offer is a large display size, which can be beneficial for those who enjoy consuming multimedia content or who prefer a larger screen for typing or productivity tasks. Additionally, the IPS LCD technology used in the display should provide decent color accuracy and viewing angles.

The Nokia phone is splash and dust resistant. Most importantly, the display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3, which provides some resistance to scratches and minor impacts.

Camera

One of the selling points of the smartphone is the camera, fortunately Nokia did not fail in this department, although, it could have been better. Using the wide lens the primary camera can stunning photos with great detail and clarity even in low lighting condition. The Macro lens on the other hand, although might not do much but it sure allows you to capture the tiniest details up close.

In terms of video quality, the Nokia C32 main camera is capable of recording video at a maximum resolution of 1080p@30fps. This means that it can capture Full HD video footage at a frame rate of 30 frames per second.

On the front, there is an 8MP selfie camera that produce decent quality selfies and group photos. Above all, both the front and rear cameras is equipped with a bespoke night mode on both that gives impressive pictures in any lighting conditions. Under the hood, the Nokia C32 is comes with a Unisoc SC9863A1 chipset. This mid-range system-on-chip (SoC) is based on a 64-bit octa-core ARM Cortex-A55 CPU, which has a clock speed of up to 1.6 GHz.

The chipset also features a PowerVR GE8322 GPU, which is capable of handling basic gaming and graphics tasks. It supports up to 4GB of LPDDR4x RAM and support up to 128GB internal storage. This storage is expandable using the dedicated microSD slot.
