Xiaomi has officially launched the Mix Flip 2, a premium clamshell-style foldable smartphone inspired by the Razr 60 Ultra. It’s powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset with up to 16GB RAM, and juiced by a 5,150 mAh battery, offering flagship-level performance. The Xiaomi Mix Flip 2 sports a 4.01-inch outer screen and a 6.86-inch inner display, along with a pair of 50 MP rear cameras co-engineered with Leica, as well as a 32MP selfie camera.

Design

At first glance, the Xiaomi MiX Flip 2 presents a refined and premium design that elevates the modern flip phone experience. It features flat polished metal sides, a matte-finished Dragon Crystal Glass 2.0 back, and a slim, symmetrical build that feels sleek and stylish in the hand.

When folded, it measures 86.1 x 73.8 x 15.9 mm, and when unfolded, it’s just 166.9 x 73.8 x 7.6 mm, weighing only 199 grams. This offers a lightweight yet sturdy feel that makes it comfortable to carry and effortless to operate one-handed.

Xiaomi’s newly engineered Dragon Bone Hinge is one of the highlights of the device. With a three-link + four-floating-plate mechanism, it offers a smooth and confident folding experience with minimal visible creases when the inner display is open.

Xiaomi rates it for up to 500,000 folds, which is significantly higher than industry norms, ensuring long-term durability even with heavy daily use.
