Post UTME 2013

JAMB Cut off Mark

The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board, JAMB has officially announced the release of the UTME 2011 results. Although more candidates scored 200 and above this year compared to last year(597,494 vs 501,000), Jamb UTME result for 2011 is slightly poorer than JAMB UTME 2010 results with around 40% getting 200 and above while last year saw over 41% getting 200 and above. According to the breakdown of the JAMB result 842,851 got below 200.

Some of the JAMB result have been uploaded, while most of it are still being uploaded. To check your JAMB UTME 2011 results visit, http://www.jamb.org.ng/Unifiedtme/Default.aspx. You require your PIN, Reg No., or Serial No. to check your JAMB UTME 2011.

Here is the breakdown JAMB UTME 2011 result:
  • No. of candidates that sat for Jamb UTME 2011: 1,493,604
  • No. that scored 200 and above: 597,494 (~40%)
  • No. of JAMB candidates scoring 200 - 249: 495,426
  • No. of JAMB candidates scoring 250 - 269: 67,732
  • No. of JAMB candidates scoring 270 - 299: 31,444
  • No. of JAMB candidates scoring above 300: 2,892
  • No. of JAMB candidates scoring below 200: 842,851
  • No. of JAMB candidates scoring below 170: 201,798
  • No. of JAMB candidates scoring 170 - 199: 641,143
  • No. of JAMB candidates with invalid or incomplete result: 28,069
  • No. of JAMB results withheld for malpractice: 15,160
  • No. of JAMB results being investigated: 7,504
However, we will advice that JAMB puts everything in place to reduce the pain in checking JAMB UTME 2011 result. First, JAMB must ensure that all UTME 2011 results are uploaded to the database before announcement or at most 8 hours after the announcement of the JAMB result.

JAMB should also avoid the popular record not found or record does not exist JAMB result. If people paid over N4,000 to write JAMB UTME exam, at least they deserve to have some record on the JAMB database. Every UTME candidate should get an intelligent response when they try accessing their JAMB UTME 2011 result. For example, if a result is withheld, JAMB should provide info on why and what line of action such candidate should take if he/she feels aggrieved. Also candidates with incomplete or missing UTME JAMB result should be properly informed by the JAMB UTME 2011 result checker.

JAMB should also anticipate a spike in traffic during this period so they should order for more computational capacity and bandwidth so that JAMB UTME candidates will not spend hours checking UTME JAMB results that should ordinarily take seconds.

The JAMB UTME 2011 result can be checked at www.jamb.org.ng, same Java website used for UTME 2011 registration. After JAMB UTME 2011 results are released, you can also check admission status at www.jamb.org.ng.

Find info on Post UTME and cutoff issues

JAMB UTME Registration is now done at www.jamb.org.ng. Online Registration for JAMB UTME was formally done at www.jambutme.com.

If you are finding it hard accessing your Jamb UTME results, it is because lots of people are doing the same time. Try early in the morning or wait till Monday or Tuesday.

With over 501,000 candidates scoring 200 and above, post UTME will be very vital this year, especially when most candidates will prefer to study in a university. Nigerian Universities cannot take-in up to 200,000 candidates, this means that lots of candidates will still lose out not because they are not good enough but because our governments have not invested enough in education. Post UTME provides a fair way to trim down the number.

please could their be an alternative to checking result other than the jambonline.org

At April 25, 2010 at 6:23 PM, Anonymous pedro said...

based on the fact that only over 500,000 students scored above 200. This tells that universities in each state will have to admit over 1,200 students and this will favor the fortunate students if most entries are not directed to some universities. And this will give student hope after the post-UME. as universities will be able to grant moderate amount of admissions. i hope it will end up this way, but either way i am quite optimistic.

The only site for checking your Jamb UTME result is jambonline.org. If it is not going, there is no need wasting your time, do other things and try again later. However, in view of the challenges faced by candidates in accessing their UTME result, JAMB should invest in faster and more reliable servers and hosting in future so as to make UTME result checking hassle free. JAMB ought to have known that millions of UTME candidates all trying to access the site at the same time will bring down the site. Adequate arrangement ought to have been made before hand to handle the temporary spike in traffic during UTME result checking.

I'm not surprise, we are in naija so we are use to things like these. we should not act as if we never expected this, deep within us we knew that this will happen, so we should just take it the way we have been taking other situations in nigeria. Any way our slogan in naija is "things go better". lets just believe and hope that things will change and every thing will be fine.

Anonymous, I suggest you give some respect to contributors on this blog, while you may have noticed some grammatical errors on this blog, do not assume you will score higher than any contributor on this blog in English. The errors you noticed could be as a result of many factors and I can assure you that inadequacy in the use of English Language is not one of them.

UTME claims that the total number of candidates that sat for the UTME 2010 were 1,276,795.According to UTME the number that scored 200 and above: 501,463.The number that scored 180 and above:832,434. My people, if you add this together, it gives you the total of 1,333,897.Does it mean no body scored below 180.

Modesta you erred in your calculation the 832,434 candidates that scored 180 and above also includes the 501,463 that scored 200 and above, so if my own math is right about 444,361 scored below 180.

If one's result is been withheld, will it still be released later. I'm asking because, I had seen my results before... only to go back and print it out and was informed it has been withheld, for wide spread cheatin. I really don't understand this. When I checked it then... I scored 264, but now... nothing. This is serious.

If you are getting an error message, it could be that your Jamb UTME results may not have been uploaded. Your remedy is to wait for a few days and try again. Click Here to Visit Our Discussion Board For Issues and Solutions..

UNILAG ADMISSIONS… Your passport into The University of Lagos

While watching the smiles on the faces of the over 700 students UNILAG ADMISSIONS helped secure admission into the University of Lagos as they matriculated on Friday the 26th, I couldn't but wonder how many more people UNILAG ADMISSIONS can make happy, How many more people we can help secure admission into the University of Lagos...

I then said to myself, "If last year we helped over 700students, can't we expand it to 1200 in 2011?" So we a created a facebook page "http://www.facebook.com/pages/Akoka-Lagos/Unilag-Admissions/117464378315763" and in February 2011 we intend to launch our website were we intend to be closer to our students, provide TUTORIAL AND SPECIAL COACHING SERVICES, POST UTME AND DIPLOMA PAST QUESTIONS, and so many more, so that more Nigeria youths would be able to secure admission into the University of Lagos.

If you believe in our idea, plan on entering the University of Lagos in 2011 or have a friend you would love to see smile, why don't you like our page and spread the news because we would love to put smiles on your faces.

You could call us on 0818 212 0314!
