To watch DSTV Mobile on BlackBerry phones, you require a DVB-H accessory called the Drifta. The Drifta receives DVB-H signals and broadcasts it to your BlackBerry phone over Wi-Fi. You also need to download and install the Drifta app at the BlackBerry World Store. DSTV Mobile offers up to 16 exciting channels and you can access it free if you are an active DSTV subscriber. The Drifta costs around 12,250 Naira.

DSTV Mobile Drifta Decoder

DSTV Mobile is supported on all BlackBerry phones running BlackBerry 4.5.0 and above. However, to enjoy DSTV on your BlackBerry phone, you have to be located in a DSTV Mobile coverage area. DSTV Mobile is only available in Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt, Kaduna, Enugu, Onitsha, Asaba, Aba, Ibadan, and Benin.

BlackBerry Drifta app is still in Beta (a work in progress). You can download it here.

Channels on DSTV mobile cover a wide range of interests like news (eg. CNN), documentary (eg. NatGeo Wild), sports (eg. SuperSport3), music (eg. Sound City), movies (eg. MNET Series, Africa Magic), kids (eg, Disney Junior), and more. Two channels are free (NTA and AIT), but DSTV offers 3 months free DSTV Mobile subscription, if you buy a Drifta Wi-Fi decoder from any of their authorised outlets in Nigeria. Monthly subscription ranges from free (for active DSTV subscribers) to 660 Naira (14 channels).

You can watch DSTV free on your BlackBerry phones. All active DSTV subscribers can access DSTV Mobile for free except for subscribers to DSTV Access bouquet. To enjoy DSTV Mobile free on your BlackBerry phone or any other mobile device, you have to link your BlackBerry to your DSTV TV subscription account. Visit a DSTV outlet to link your BlackBerry to your DSTV account.
