Beginner’s Guide to BigCommerce

Best Freelancers to help you Grow your Business

Moving your shop to a virtual one – a.k.a online selling – is not as easy as it sounds. It’s a bit different than putting up a physical shop where you just display your products for sale and wait for customers to come in. Especially for most business owners who haven’t gone through this process before, it takes a bit of knowledge and adjustment to seamlessly use and manage an e-commerce site. However, BigCommerce is a solution that promises to make things easier.

In terms of e-commerce software, one of the leading and most used today is BigCommerce with over 150,000 stores running on the software globally. If you’ve heard of BigCommerce, or it’s one of the solutions you’re looking at, here’s a guide to further familiarize you to the software.

An Introduction

First, signing up for BigCommerce does not require any fees (at least for the first two weeks). Of course, you’d want to see if such solution works for you before you actually purchase it. So BigCommerce gives a 15-day trial for all its new users.

Second, it’s easily set up in minutes. As a business owner, you would simply have to input your credentials, and in a minute or two, you already are an official BigCommerce user.

Third, BigCommerce is all about customization. Once you’re registered, you’ll be led to a page where you will configure your settings, payment and delivery options for your customers. Your own home page can be customized as well, with free templates to choose from.

When all is set up, you can now add a product in your online store. After the two-week trial, there are three plans to choose from. The Silver plan (at $29.95 a month) lets you upload unlimited products along with an array of other features.

Along with having an online store, using an e-commerce solution such as BigCommerce will let you track your transactions and provide insight for marketing and SEO. It may be tricky at first, but BigCommerce offers support for businesses to seamlessly sell online. Learn More
