Design
At a glance, the iLife A9 is similar to other robot vacuum cleaners with simple round body made of strong, abrasion-resistant aluminum alloy in hairline finish, with a silver aluminum power switch and accent circle at the top.
This design is refers to as a classic vinyl record exterior. Its ultra slim body makes it possible for the vacuum to easily access hard-to-reach areas and removing hidden dirt
around furniture.
In addition, A9 has a large 600ml dustbin which fit perfectly into the 7.6cm thick body. There is also a silver-grey bumper ring that makes the A9 look different from most vacuums.
When flipped over, the iLife A9 vacuum has a large brush, a silicone rubber roller, two edge brush, a power port, a caster wheel, two rubber wheels and array of sensors.
Vacuuming
iLife A9 robot vacuum features Nidec brushless powerful motor for superior suction, low noise and effective vacuuming. It also comes with the new impressive Gen 4 CyclonePower cleaning system, that can deliver up to 1000 Pa of suction pressure for efficient dust and debris pickups.
Furthermore, the vacuum has a cellular dustbin where the dirts picked up are stored. This dustbin helps separate dirt by size. As a result, fine dust travels with the air through to the bottom of the conical cylinder, and large particles are isolated and retained in the outer cyclone to prevent it from clogging the filter.
Cleaning Modes
The A9 supports four cleaning modes, all of which are activated from the remote or app. In Auto mode, the robot create a path through the room using gyro sensors and cleans in a zigzag pattern.
In Spot mode, it will clean an area of concentrated dirt in a spiral pattern. It is best to use a higher suction power for deep cleaning in this designated area. Furthermore, in Edge mode, the A9 navigates to clean edges and corners. The Max mode can be activated when stronger suction power is needed.
For accurate and stable navigation this vacuum adopts the new CV-SLAM algorithm and a built-in gyro, upgraded Gen 2 Panoview to help direct its movement.
The PanoView navigation system consists of a 360-degree live-vision camera and CV-SLAM graphics algorithm and three processors. These features combined give ILIFE A9 cleaning effectiveness a significant boost, and presenting cleaning of the future.
Likewise, this high-definition camera scans the ceiling to generate real-time panoramic images and perspective of its surroundings. Through the CV-SLAM graphics algorithm, visual information collected will be immediately transmitted to the three processors. This also helps in easily generating the map of your home.
