Design and Display
The Xiaomi Mix 4 design may not be an exact replica of another Xiaomi smartphone, but it does sort of remind of the Xiaomi Mi Ultra, which may be due to the fact that both device strive for a clean slate.
Offcourse, the star of this design lies in the front panel. Xiaomi was able to attain a clain slate all thanks to its under display camera tech. This means there are no notches, punch hole camera, cut-outs e.t.c
As mentioned in the introductory paragraph, this isn’t the first time Xiaomi is showcasing this tech, but its the first time its being commercialised.
Aside from having the cameras under the display, Xiaomi also place an optical fingerpint sensor under the display, which isn’t new anymore, considering the fact that we have seen a lot of smartphones in the past with this tech.
Flipping the device to get a rear view reveals a round edge square camera module holding triple cameras. Also on the rear, is the Xiaomi branding, which indicates its a Xiaomi smartphone.
The Xiaomi Mix 4 comes in three colour options that include Ceramic Black, Ceramic White and Shadow Gray.
The Cameras
As far as the camera specs sheet is concerned, the xiaomi Mix 4 is no slouched. It packs in a seemlingly impressively camera setup.
On the rear, we have a 108MP primary camera with an aperture of f/1.9, an 8MP periscope telephoto camera with an aperture of f/4.1, a 13MP ultrawide camera with a 123˚ field of view. Video recording on this setup is capped at 8K@24fps.
Moving upfront to the selfie side, we have a 20MP under-display camera. This camera is capable of recording videos up to 1080p@30fps.
Hardware and Software
Performance on the Xiaomi Mix 4 is on the high-end side as discussed in the introductory paragraph. The highlight of its performance setup is its Qualcomm Snapdragon 888+ processor.
We also have the Adreno 660 GPU, 8GB / 12GB RAM options, a non-removable 4500 mAh battery. What’s more we have a 120W fast wired charging, 50W wireless charging.
On the software side, we have the MIUI 2.5 user interface running on the Android 11 operating system.
Connectivity
The Xiaomi Mix 4 features Bluetooth 5.2, NFC and a USB Type-C 2.0 port. Please note that there isn’t a 3.5mm headphone jack here, but you can listen to audio privately using type-c headphones or wireless headphones.
Internet connectivity on this Mix 4 is capped at 5G, which means enthusiasts will be able to utillize 5G connectivity for downloads, uploads and streaming.

Xiaomi Mix 4 price starts at around $772, which translates 318,399 Naira in Nigeria, 84,644 KSH in Kenya, 4,658 GHC in Ghana.
