Design

The Sony Xperia 1 V boasts an innovative texturized finish that enhances the smartphone’s tactile feel. The matte finish adds both elegance and durability to the device, while its compact and lightweight 165.0×71.0x8.3mm dimensions and 187-gram weight provide a solid yet manageable device, much like its predecessor, the Xperia 1 IV. Moreover, the completely matte back panel with a tactile blister texture offers an unparalleled grip and is smudge-proof.

The frosted finish of the hardened glass, featuring minute convex shapes, improves resistance to fingerprints and scratches. Furthermore, the embossed dot patterns on the glass back and a ridged aluminum mid-frame gives the phone a new textural elements. Notably, the specially textured surface ensures an excellent grip, enhancing user experience for various activities such as photography and browsing.

The Xperia 1 V’s design language emphasizes both style and functionality. The rear metal camera housing, reminiscent of Sony’s Full-frame Alpha cameras, provides a robust and high-quality feel. Likewise, the design elements include a shutter button and V-shaped grooves for enhanced grip. Meanwhile, this device features Gorilla Glass protection, IP68 certification for water and dust resistance,

It has a camera island on the left corner of the back panel, housing a 12MP ultrawide, 48MP primary, and 12MP telephoto lens, sits raised on the back, offering minimal wobbling.
