The Drifta is a mobile decoder for connecting your device to DSTV Mobile. DSTV Mobile broadcasts signals in DVB-H, but since most devices do not come with DVB-H receivers built-in, a DVB-H accessory is usually required for watching DSTV Mobile on your mobile devices. The Drifta Decoder receives the DSTV Mobile signal on its built-in DVB-H receiver and connects to your mobile device via Wi-Fi or USB depending on the model you choose.

With the Drifta you can watch up to 16 DSTV Mobile channels on your Windows or Mac laptop as well as the Android, Symbian, iOS, Windows, Windows Phone, or BlackBerry smartphones and tablets.

Drifta Wi-Fi or USB

The Drifta decoder is available in two variants. One offers USB connectivity and the other Wi-Fi connectivity. The Drifta USB is cheaper at a price of 8,500 Naira, but only offer support for Windows and Mac laptop or desktop computers. It receives the signal and connects it to your computer using one of the USB ports.

The Drifta Wi-Fi costs more with a retail price of 12,250 Naira, but offers more versatility as it not only supports laptops and desktops, but also smartphones and tablets and just about any Wi-Fi device with any of the prominent mobile platforms. However, Drifta Wi-Fi requires a device with Wi-Fi support. The Drifta Wi-Fi offers a viewing time of up to 3 hours on full charge.

Note that you will still need to download and install the Drifta App from the official app store of the platform on your mobile device. DSTV Mobile is not available everywhere. You need to be in a coverage area to watch TV on your device using s Drifta. DSTV Mobile is only available in Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt, Kaduna, Enugu, Onitsha, Asaba, Aba, Ibadan, and Benin. Watch up to 16 exciting TV channels covering a wide range of interests like news (eg. CNN), documentary (eg. NatGeo Wild), sports (eg. SuperSport3), music (eg. Sound City), movies (eg. MNET Series, Africa Magic), kids (eg, Disney Junior), and more. Buying a Drifta Wi-Fi or Drifta USB may come with 3 months free subscription.

Active DSTV subscribers get DSTV Mobile free on their mobile device. This offer (Free DSTV Mobile) is not available for subscribers of the DSTV Access Bouquet.
