Design and Display

Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime 4G looks identical to the regular variant. It flaunts a svelte body, measuring 8.6 millimetres in thickness. The sleek smartphone, however, weighs a tad at 156 grams. It comes in white, gold and grey colours.

It crams in a large 5-inch PLS TFT display with a resolution of 540 x 960 pixels – not the best around, but should still offer decent viewing.

Camera and Storage

Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime 4G features an 8-megapixel camera with LED flash on the rear and a 5-megapixel snapper on the front. The front-facing shooter offers you ultra-wide view angle of 85 degrees to let you capture as much friends or details as possible in your selfies.

Internal storage allocation is 8 GB – enough for the needs of some users. You will be able to add up to 64GB extra storage with a microSD card if the onboard storage memory doesn’t meet your needs.

Performance and Operating System

Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime 4G is powered by a quad-core processor that delivers speeds of up to 1.2 GHz. With support provided by RAM of 1GB capacity, the chip should enable you do a bit of multitasking on the device.

Unlike the regular Galaxy Grand Prime that runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat), this 4G smartphone will run on the latest Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system. The software will probably be overlaid with Samsung’s TouchWiz user interface.

The main selling point for Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime 4G, as its name already indicates, is the fact that it is 4G LTE compatible. It supports Band 3 and Band 40 4G LTE networks, which are rather popular in developing countries, enabling you to enjoy lightning fast data speeds.

Connectivity options also include Bluetooth 4.0, 3G and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n (2.4GHz) with Wi-Fi Direct. The dual-SIM smartphone is accompanied by a 2600mAh battery with a rated talk time of up to 14 hours.

Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime 4G is not yet available in Nigeria. We currently have no data on pricing and availability for Nigeria. When available, Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime 4G Price in Nigeria is expected to range from N33,000 to N40,000 at launch.
