Pebble Time Round is the latest sequel to the Time and Time Steel smartwatches seemingly designed to attract those who may have been impressed by rival watches such as the Apple Watch and Samsung Gear S2. It features a circular face which makes it the first Pebble smartwatch to have such, while also showing off an attractive slim and light body.

The Design
Parading a metal body, the Time Round is quite thin and light. It measures only 7.5 millimetres in thickness and 28 grams in weight, which makes it the world’s thinnest and lightest smartwatch, according to Pebble.
The timepiece has a traditional watch design and comes in two band sizes of 14 mm and 20 mm to appeal to both male and female users. The bands will be made of leather (metal option expected later in the year) and have silver, black or a special rose gold finish.
The Display
The Pebble Time Round smartwatch features an always-on, e-paper display. The 64-colour display with backlight makes it very easy to see information without needing to press a button to light up the screen.
The same timeline interface used on both the Pebble Time and Time Steel is also used here. It categorized information based on the past, present and future.
Battery Life
The Time and Time Steel offered impressively long battery life of up to 10 days, helping them outdo several rival watches. Pebble Time Round looks set to disappoint users in this regard. It is expected to offer only two days in battery runtime.
To make up for this, Pebble promises that you will be able to get enough juice to support full-day use of the timepiece by charging for just 15 minutes.
Additional Information
Although it may not look it, Pebble Time Round can do basically all you expect a smartphone to do (it is not a phone, though). Pebble Time Round can notify you of incoming calls, text messages and email. You can even use it for accessing music controls on your smartphone.
The wearable can be synced with Android phones; Pebble is working on pairing with devices running latest Apple iOS 9.
You will be able to customise the look of your Pebble Time Round with a variety of watchfaces available in the Pebble app store. The smartwatch offers splash resistance, unlike the Time and Time Steel that offered water resistance.
Pricing and availability
Pebble Time Round will costs $249.99. It is not yet available in Nigeria and we currently have no data on pricing and availability for Nigeria. When available, Pebble Time Round Price in Nigeria is expected to range from N50,000 to N70,000 at launch.
