Design and Build
The drone is a small one, hence you could call it a mini drone and can qualify has a cool toy for taking nice selfies. Like most drone, the Altair Aerial AA108 has 4 propellers with the landing gear extended upward to protect the propeller.
It is quite light made of tough plastic built into a compact little flying toy. You’ve got Aerial written on top of it while the Altair’s logo is towards the top and a camera pointing forward at the nose.
Performance
From setting up the drone to actually flying it, the Altair Aerial AA108 is smooth with quite an impressive yaw. Looking at the size and price of the drone, you’d be surprised how well it performs.
First, there’s the live feed from the camera through the FlyingSee app installed on your phone. This is delivered at 720p quality plus you also get additional features like Virtual reality mode, Altitude hold and so on.
There are 3 flight skill level which includes, beginners, intermediate and of course expert or advanced level. What differentiates each of this level is the maximum speed you can attain and the extent to which you can control the quadcopter.
Controls
Now moving to how you get to operate the drone, you have a remote controller packed into the box with the drone. Also, when you install the FlyingSee app, you’ll get virtual controls on screen alongside the first person view (FPV).
One good addition is that, there is a paper overlay over the controls on the remote signifying what each of the buttons and analog sticks are meant for. Also, you have a range of 100m unobstructed and you get a beep on your controller when it is going out of range or low on battery.

Not only that, you also get a life feed from the camera in HD quality but that about all the drone can offer. Without Optical image stabilization, the drone does well with consistent flight and nice hovering stability.
