Umidigi A3 Specs and Price

Umidigi A3 is one of the best affordable smartphone available right now. The smartphone offers reasonable features at a good price. Although it is an entry level smartphone, the Umidigi A3 doesn’t look like one. There’s a nice glass build and a stylish 18:9 aspect ratio with a sizeable screen to go with. Also, you’ve got a handful of specs even if it’s not on the premium side.

Chinese OEMs have been a major part of the budget smartphones market for years now with products at a very affordable price too. The Umidigi brand is one of the players here and it has a new addition to its list, the Umidigi A3.

Design and Display

It is very nice to see an effort to make an entry level smartphone fashionable and keeping up with trends in the smartphone scene. One of the highlights you’ll come to like is the 2.5D glass on both sides anchored together by a metallic frame.

A dual camera is arranged at the back with flash below it and there’s also a fingerprint scanner. Umidigi A3 happens to come with 3 slots, 2 for the SIM card and one for the SD card.

The Umidigi A3 sports a nice average sized screen. Flanked by minimal bezels, the 5.5-inch display has a fair brightness indoors but not quite visible in sunlight. Aside that, the resolution of 1440 X 720 pixels is quite good enough for viewing.

Battery and Camera

The battery on the smartphone is a  bit above some of its peers and is quite ideal for an entry level smartphone. Crammed with 3, 300mAh battery capacity, the smartphone is good till the end of the day and surprisingly comes with a USB Type-C port.

There are three cameras on the Umidigi A3, two at the back and a single one at the front. You should be able to take good looking pictures although not with high resolution and definitely not in poor lit environment. At the back you have a 12MP and 5MP camera taking care of business while the front has an 8MP sensors.

Hardware and Software

At the core of the Umidigi A3, there I s chipset with four cores amd as you would expect a low performing one. Good enough for your basic daily tasks, the MediaTek MT6739 processor is paired with an PowerVR GE8100 GPU.

Also, present is a 2GB RAM and a 16GB storage space a bit of which is taken up by the system software including the Android 9 Pie.
