The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 3 comes in as a successor to the Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2, which was released last year. It continues the tradition of tough tablets designed for extreme conditions. The Galaxy Tab Active 3 may not be the most powerful Android tablet out there as far as performance is concerned, but it bears substantial upgrades over its predecessors.

Design and Display
As implemented with its predecessor, the Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 3 offers a very durable build, a build suitable for extreme environments.
It’s the kind of tablet you will gifts to kids, take to construction sites, take to military zones without paying much attention to fragility.
Speaking on military zones, the Galaxy Tab Active 3 has the MIL-STD-810H certification, which pretty much sums up its capability of surviving tough terrains.
We also have an IP68 rating for dust and water rating. You can submerge his tablet in 1.5m of water for 30 mins, which pretty much enough time for you to retrieve the tablet in my opinion.
Perusing the chassis, we will find a setup that isn’t anywhere near fragile, there is a massive absence of aesthetic features that contribute to fragility.
On the front, we have an 8.0-inch PLS IPS display with a resolution of 1200 x 1920 pixels, a density of 283 PPI. This display is surrounded by thick bezels.
The bottom bezel is home to a set of navigation keys as well as a capacitive fingerprint scanner, which is housed in the home button.
Samsung inculcated a system that allows enthusiasts to amp the sensitivity of the display, which further allows them to operate the touch-screen display even when putting on gloves, which will be very efficient in cold regions and other areas, where putting on a glove is inevitable.
On the rear, we have a vertical arranged rear camera system with a single camera and an LED flash. Below this camera setup is the Samsung branding, which indicates it’s a Samsung Tablet.
Enthusiasts who decide to purchase the Galaxy Tab 3 active will have to settle for one colour, which is black.
Please note that Samsung has also included a special “inbox cover” cover that houses a waterproof S-Pen. This inbox cover also adds to the level of protection.
The cameras on the Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 3 aren’t really a member of its strongest point. It pretty much follows the trend we have seen on most tab, with the Samsung Galaxy A 8.4 2020 is a very good example.
The rear camera holds on a single 13MP camera with an aperture of f/1.9. This camera is backed by an LED flash. Typically, this camera comes in handy in scenarios where you just want to make memorable moments, scan documents e.t.c.
Upfront, we have a single 5MP camera with an aperture of f/2.2. This camera is suited for selfies, video calls, and lots more.
On the performance hardware side, we have the Exynos 9810 processor, 4GB RAM, options for 64GB / 128GB, and a removable 5050 mAh battery.
This performance hardware isn’t really on the high-end side like the Samsung Galaxy Tab S7, but it’s sort of enough for enthusiats that aren’t power users.
Samsung featured a special “No Battery Mode” on the Tab 3 active, with this feature, enthusiasts can make use of their tablet, without the battery.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 3 software architecture is based on the One UI 2.5 running on the Android 10 operating system.
Samsung also featured its top of the line Knox security which promises enthusiasts defense-grade security that protects user data, making this tablet suitable for businesses, firms, and co-operation who desire top-notch security systems.
Samsung didn’t also live the Dex feature aside. They also pushed their mobile desktop system to the Tab Active 3. This means enthusiasts can place their tablet on a dex mount paired with a monitor to get a PC inspired experience.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 3 features a 3.5mm headphone jack, a USB Type-C port, Bluetooth 5.0, WiFi 6 connectivity, NFC.
Internet connectivity here is capped at 4G LTE, However, enthusiats should note that the Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 3 comes in WiFi-only and LTE models.
