Design
Amazon Astro is a beautiful invention with three wheels; two big wheels and a smaller rotating wheel to help with movement when performing its home duty. It has a 10-inch touchscreen similar to the Amazon Echo Show 10 2020 model and a 5MP camera with a periscope arm that rises up on a 42-inch arm to capture up to 132° field of view, so you can keep an eye on your home while away.
This display is perched on a motorized base that swivels around automatically whenever you interact with the device. You can also manually tilt the screen at any time by sliding that shutter closed, adjusting settings on-device or in the Alexa app, or just by saying, “Alexa, turn off motion.”
Astro has two enormous circular eyes which is perfect for facial recognition, and easy navigation of the house while avoiding obstacles. Apart from the camera, this home robot also has a microphones so you can easily communicate with family. Furthermore, there is a switch to off the camera, microphone, and movements.
