Design and Display
The iPhone 14 looks like the iPhone 13 models with flat edges, stainless steel enclosure, a textured matte glass back, IP68 water resistance, and a Ceramic Shield-protected display. Similar to last year’s iPhone 13 model, the iPhone 14 still has a notch at the top of the display that houses the TrueDepth camera.
The durable Ceramic Shield glass front cover protects the iPhone’s display from bumps and drops; however, you still have to be extremely careful with it because of the glass back that enables wireless charging. Likewise, there are speaker holes and microphones at the bottom of the iPhone 14, along with a Lightning port for charging purposes.
Overall, the smartphone is lightweight and easy to carry as it weighs approximately 172 grams and its dimensions are 146.7 x 71.5 x 7.8 mm (height x width x thickness).
For display, Apple iPhone 14 features a 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display with a resolution of 1170 x 2532 Pixels and a density of about 460 ppi. The display is the same size as the Galaxy S23.
It supports 1200 nits peak brightness, a 2,000,000:1 contrast ratio, Dolby Vision, and True Tone support for matching the white balance of the display to the lighting in the room. There is also the Always-On display and 120Hz refresh rate, along with improved power-efficient technologies.
Advanced Camera
