Samsung Galaxy A8

Samsung Galaxy A8 sports a massive and stunning Full HD display, and yet shows off an incredibly thin design, which makes it the slimmest phone produced by Samsung till date.

Design and Display

At just 5.9mm thick, the Galaxy A8 beats out all other Samsung smartphones before it in thinness – including the flagship Galaxy S6 Edge. It is the slimmest phone from a major phone maker and it’s only surpassed in thinness by a handful of devices from Chinese manufacturers, including the 4.85mm-slim Oppo R5 and 5.1mm-thin Gionee Elife S5.1.

Samsung Galaxy A8 has a premium all-metal chassis and, in spite of that, weighs a manageable 151 grams.

Display and Camera

Apart from its awesome design, Samsung Galaxy A8 also impresses with its display – a large 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display. Given its Full HD (1080p) resolution, this touchscreen offers awesome clarity and immersive viewing experience.

The display has thin bezels to enhance viewing and device look. In the camera aspect, the Samsung Galaxy A8 rocks an impressive 16-megapixel rear camera with F2.2 aperture, LED flash, face/smile detection, autofocus and touch to focus to enable you capture superb images.

The selfie shooter on the front is an equally decent 5-megapixel, wide-angle sensor.

Paired with 2 GB of RAM and an Adreno 405 GPU, this 64-bit chip, which runs at 1.5 GHz, should deliver nothing short of awesome performance.

The Samsung Galaxy A8 runs off the new Android 5.1 (Lollipop) operating system.

Other Features

Onboard storage is 16 GB – decent for the needs of most users. There is also a microSD slot to let you add up to 128 GB more storage space. Samsung Galaxy A8 is 4G LTE compatible, enabling you to enjoy excellent browsing and download speeds.

Its Home button doubles as a fingerprint scanner. With a powerful battery of 3050 mAh capacity, you should get impressively long usage time on this one.
