Design and Display
You get a similar all plastic design available as other members of the 2022 Galaxy ASeries like the Galaxy A13, the Galaxy A23 and the Galaxy A33 5G. The color options are also similar: Black, Blue, White, and Black.
The rear camera placement is also the same. Three of the cameras aligned vertically in one column and the fourth camera and the LED flash aligned vertically on another column.
The front is where the A53 differs from the rest. While you still get a Glass cover in front (Corning Gorilla Glass 5 like the A33 5G), the selfie camera is housed in the an infinity-O display, not a V-cutout like the other siblings. It is IP67 certified for dust and water resistance.
Samsung Galaxy A53 5G has a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED display with 1080 x 2400 pixels resolution and support for up to 800 nits brightness. The support for 120Hz refresh rate means you can enjoy blur free viewing when watching fast paced action movies or playing games. You will also get an under display fingerprint sensor.
The Cameras
Samsung Galaxy A53 5G offers great camera for capturing those great moments even in 4K. It has a 64 megapixels wide-angle primary camera features an f/1.8 aperture, phase detection autofocus (PDAF), and Optical Image Stabilization (OIS).
The main camera is supported by a 12 megapixels ultrawide camera with an f/2.2 aperture, a 5 megapixels macro camera an f2.4 aperture, and a 5 megapixels depth camera with an f/2.4 aperture.

The smartphone offers 128GB model built-in storage with 4GB, 6GB, or 8GB RAM and a 256GB storage with 6GB or 8GB RAM. Just like the A33 and other smartphones like the Tecno Spark 8C and Infinix Note 12 VIP, the A53 5G support virtual memory that enables you add more memory capacity to your smartphone by allocating a potion of your built-in storage to be used as your phone’s memory.
This creates the illusion of a bigger installed RAM and result in a smoother performance for the phone. Samsung calls this feature RAM Plus and depending on the model you buy, you can add up to 6GB or 8GB virtual RAM. A dedicated microSD slot with support for up to 1TB memory card is provided on the phone.
You get a 5000 mAh battery for great battery stamina. The 5G phone boasts of up to 18 hours video playback and up to 60 hours music playback. It supports 25W fast charging capacity.
