Design and Display
Umidigi C1 Max comes in matte finish with 3D curved edges. The smartphone is available in Matte Silver and Starry Black. Aside the curved edges, this smartphone is the same as the Umidigi G1 Max.
You get a 6.52-inch display in the front with a 720 x 1600 pixels resolution. The display offers a decent viewing experience with 20:9 aspect ratio and 60 Hz refresh rate. A V-notch is provided on the top for the selfie camera.
On the back, you have a similar camera positioning compared to the Umidigi C1, though the main lens is upgraded. However, unlike the C1, a fingerprint sensor is also provided on the side on top of the power button.
The Cameras
On the V-notch in the front sits an 8 megapixels camera, which should deliver better selfies than the 5MP available on the C1. The front camera also offers AI enabled Face unlock.
The Umidigi C1 Max also got a major bump of the rear camera from 13MP to 50MP. The 50 megapixels main lens is paired with a 2 megapixels depth lens to deliver great photos and videos for capturing memorable moments in your life.
Hardware and Software
Just like the Umidigi G1 Max, the C1 Max is powered by a Unisoc T610 (12nm) Octa-core chipset. The chipset is built on a dual-cluster architecture with a dual-core Cortex-A75 clocked at 1.8GHz and a hexa-core Cortex-A55 clocked at 1.8GHz.
We also saw this chip in other Umidigi phones like the Umidigi Power 7S, the Power 7 Max, and Umidigi F3s as well as the Umidigi A13, the Umidigi A13s, and the A13 Pro.
This cheap android phone comes with a generous 6GB LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB eMMC 5.1 built-in storage. It features a hybrid slot that supports up to 256GB memory card. The 5150 mAh battery is charged using a 10W capacity charging system. Battery life is decent with up to 20 hours of calling time. The smartphone should be able to handle a whole day on a full charge.
On the software side, Umidigi G1 Max runs on Android 12 OS.
Connectivity
The android phone features a 3.5mm headphone jack, a USB Type-C port and Bluetooth 5.0. The cheap android phone supports 4G LTE with dual 4G VoLTE and dual-Wi-Fi.
