Oppo Find N3 Specs, Price, and Best Deals

Oppo has launched a new foldable smartphone, the Find N3 as a successor to the Find N2 with some major changes both inside and out. It has a slim and curved design, impressive processor and powerful battery. Unlike its predecessor Find N2, the Oppo Find N3 has a larger 7.82-inches main display with 6.31-inches inches cover display both with 120Hz refresh rate. It also sports a triple rear camera including a 64MP telephoto camera with dual selfie camera, one on each display. This foldable device is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and backed up by a 4800 mAh battery with support for 67W fast charging.

Design

The Oppo Find N3 is a marvel of design, seamlessly blending cutting-edge technology with a sleek and sophisticated aesthetic. On first glance, the Oppo Find N3 design scream luxury, it has an entirely different outlook to its predecessor Find N2, instead resembles other foldable phones, such as the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold, the Huawei Mate X5 and the Vivo X Fold 2.

The first standout feature in the design, the rear camera bump, which reminisce the OnePlus Open not only adds to the device’s aesthetics but also introduces a consistent design language across Oppo phones and OnePlus phones.

Meanwhile, this foldable device sports a slim profile measuring at 1153.4 x 73.3 x 11.7 mm when folded, and 153.4 x 143.1 x 5.8 mm when unfolded. Furthermore, it weigh a mere 239g thus strikes a balance between thinness and sturdiness.

For seamless usage, Oppo introduced it’s new Flexion Hinge, crafted from aircraft-grade steel and zirconium-based liquid metal, promises durability and a 15% reduction in volume.

According to the company this hinge has a self-healing layer on the inner display that minimizes scuffs, and the near-creaseless appearance to add a level of sophistication on the phone. The device’s foldability is enhanced by carbon-fiber support plates, thus, contributing to its impressive 1,000,000 fold durability.

On the right side of the frame, there is the power button positioned just beneath the volume rockers, to ensure convenient access for users. The power button doubles as the fingerprint scanner. Meanwhile, on the left side, the innovative Alert Slider takes its place, seamlessly transitioning between silent, vibrate, and ring modes with effortless precision.

As you glide the slider, the Find N3 engages you with distinctive haptic feedback tailored to each mode: a gentle absence of vibration signifies Silent mode, a rhythmic pulse characterizes Vibrate mode, and a prolonged vibration signals the activation of Ring mode. On the bottom sits the USB-C charging port alongside the speaker girls and the sim tray.

Above all, the Oppo Find N3 back panel, carved from a single piece of glass, exudes luxury and elegance, reinforcing Oppo’s commitment to marrying rich materials with thoughtful design. It is available in Champagne Gold and Classic Black with vegan leather.

Display

The OPPO Find N3 boasts an impressive external Cover Screen, increased to a sizable 6.31-inch (20:9 aspect ratio). This makes it one of the largest external screens on a foldable phone, featuring a 6.3” AMOLED display with a resolution of 2484 x 1116, 431 PPI, and a 20:9 aspect ratio on the front. This screen supports Dolby Vision and HDR10+, with a peak brightness of 2800 nits and a refresh rate of 1-120Hz.

Meanwhile, the Ultra-thin Nanocrystal Glass on the front screen has been rigorously tested to withstand tens of thousands of point-to-point collisions, ensuring a durable and reliable display.

Internally, when unfolded the device features a substantial 7.8-inch LTPO AMOLED display with a 1.07:1 aspect ratio and a 1-120Hz adaptive refresh rate. Both the external and internal displays come with notable features, including 1440Hz PWM dimming. Supported by Dolby Vision and HDR10+, this screen reaches a brightness of 1400 nits (HBM) and peaks at 2800 nits, providing a vivid and high-quality viewing experience.

The display delivers excellent quality, showcasing true blacks, vibrant colors, and crisp text, enhancing the visual experience for various activities, especially when enjoying videos with Dolby Vision and HDR10+.

Remarkably, the crease on the OPPO Find N3 is less visible compared to other foldable phones, only noticeable from specific angles. OPPO has prioritized durability, enhancing the folding screen with carbon fiber support plates, making it 36% more resistant to warping than previous foldable generations. The support plates, featuring over 5,000 microscopic laser-made holes, offer a balance of rigidity and malleability, perceptible during phone use.

Camera

Similar to most recent Oppo’s flagship smartphone, the Oppo Find N3 has a triple rear camera setup, featuring a 64MP Telephoto lens, a 48MP wide, and a 48MP ultra-wide, excels in capturing a wide range of scenes and scenarios.

The wide camera with a Sony LYTIA-T808 sensor boasts a large 1/1.43” size, allowing it to capture more light for better picture quality and a wider dynamic range. It features a f/1.7 aperture lens for low-light conditions, a 24mm equivalent focal length and the optical image stabilization (OIS) which ensures stable and clear shots.

Meanwhile, the telephoto camera features a 64MP sensor with a 1/2” sensor size, that offers a 70mm equivalent focal length. The telephoto camera’s OPPO-customized ultra-thin periscope system, coupled with a swift F2.6 aperture and advanced OIS stabilization, delivers outstanding results. The 64MP periscope telephoto enables a 3x optical zoom, a 6x lossless zoom achieved through sensor cropping, and an impressive up to 120x digital zoom for unparalleled versatility. This lens is designed for capturing distant subjects with clarity and detail.

Additionally, the Oppo Find N3 features a 48MP ultra-wide camera which utilizes a Sony IMX581 sensor with a 1/2” size. Its f/2.2 aperture lens captures a broad 114-degree field of view, making it ideal for expansive landscape shots or group photos. The 14mm equivalent focal length ensures a wide perspective.

The cameras captured images are exceptionally sharp and aesthetically pleasing, benefiting from the color-toning expertise of Hasselblad. Meanwhile, the rear cameras supports 4K recording at 30/60fps, 1080p recording at 30/60/240fps with gyro-EIS (Electronic Image Stabilization), HDR10+, and Dolby Vision, rewriting the standards for video quality.

For selfie shots, there is a single 20 megapixels ultra-wide lens on the main internal display. However, on the outer screen, there is a larger 32 megapixels ultra-wide cover camera which can also serve as a selfie camera. The front-facing camera features HDR and also supports 4K recording at 30/60fps, 1080p recording at 30/60/240fps with gyro-EIS.

Hardware and Software

Oppo Find N3 comes with powerful hardware, starting with the custom version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, specifically tailored for Samsung’s Galaxy lineup. This is the same chipset in the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Galaxy Z Fold 5

It offers a higher CPU clock including a 3.2 GHz Cortex-X3, two 2.8 GHz Cortex-A715, another two 2.8 GHz Cortex-A710 and three 2.0 GHz Cortex-A510. This chip is also coupled with the Adreno 740 GPU core for graphic processing.

The android phone is paired with an option of 12GB  or 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM, ensuring smooth multitasking and responsive performance. Storage options range from 512GB to 1TB model of UFS 4.0 internal storage.

On the software side, the Oppo Find N3 runs on ColorOS 13.2 based on Android 13. The company asserted that this OS is tailored with folding experience. It comes with minor improvements to the overall user experience.

Furthermore, the Oppo Find N3 features a 4805 battery, which is higher than the 4300 mAh battery on the Find N3 Flip. The phone supports 67W wired charging and reverse charging, which may not be the fastest in the market but should still be sufficient for most users.

This 5G phone also supports 5G network, tri-Band Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC Dual GPS/AGPS, and GLONASS. It supports the USB Type-C for charging and sharing.
