Best Jumia Tech Week Deals

Infinix Note 12 VIP is the most premium member of the 2022 iteration of the Infinix Note series. It offers some similar specs as the Infinix Note 12 G96, but offers an upgraded display and camera. Infinix Note 12 VIP features a brilliant 6.7-inch AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate, an impressive 108MP triple camera, and an outstanding 120W Hyper Charge Fast Charger that can charge from 0 to 100% in just 17 minutes.

Where to Buy Infinix Note 12 VIP

Curiously though the Infinix Note 12 VIP comes with 4500 mAh battery. This is less than the 5000 mAh battery in the Infinix Note 12 G88, the Note 12 Turbo, and other member of the 2022 series. Hopefully, this slight snag will not spoil what already looks like a great phone.

The Design and Display

Infinix Note 12 VIP is built on a plastic back and plastic frames available in two colors: Cayenne Grey and Force Black. The front is covered in glass. It is about the same size as the Infinix Note 12 G88.

Infinix Note 12 VIP features a brilliant 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. The AMOLED display offers a good viewing experience with sharp and crisp pictures with deep blacks and 120Hz refresh rate. It also features 360Hz touch sampling rate.

This makes it great for watching movies, browsing the web, and playing games. The display also supports 100% DCP-P3 color gamut, 10-bit color depth, 400000:1 contrast, and up to 1000 nits brightness.

The Cameras

Infinix Note 12 VIP features a triple camera setup on the back. You get a 108 megapixels wide angle main camera with a large 1/1.67″ image sensor, f/1.75 aperture, phase detection autofocus, and laser autofocus. This is paired with a 13 megapixels ultra-wide angle camera with an f/2.2 aperture, and a QVGA AI Depth camera with an f/2.4 aperture.

The rear camera should deliver professional looking photos for its price. It also supports 1440p Video recording and has a quad-LED flash.

A 16 megapixels camera is provided in the front for taking selfies. The selfie camera can record full HD videos.

Hardware and Software

The Infinix Note 12 VIP is powered by a MediaTek Helio G96 chipset. The chipset offers a dual-cluster architecture with a dual-core Cortex-A76 clocked at 2.05GHz and a hexa-core Cortex-A55 also clocked at 2.0GHz. This is the same chip as the Note 12 G96 and Note 12 Turbo as well as the 2021 series Infinix Note 11 Pro.

For memory, you get 8GB RAM. 256GB built-in storage are available. The smartphone also supports the Extended RAM feature that enables you add up to 5GB of virtual RAM to the device (giving you a total of 13GB RAM) to boost performance.

Combine this with the dual X-axis linear motor tactile system, the 120Hz refresh rate and 360Hz touch sampling rate and you have yourself a decent gaming phone. A 9-layers graphene cooling system is provided to keep the phone within safe temperatures at all times.

Infinix Note 12 VIP offers  Android 12 with XOS 10.6 out of the box.

A 4500 mAh Li-Po battery is provided for juice. This should provide a decent battery life. Charging is super fast thanks to the built-in 120W Hyper Charge fast charging capacity. It takes just about 17 minutes to charge the battery from 0 to 100%.

To ensure charging is safe despite pushing so much power, the Note 12 VIP has 103 charging and battery protections features that ensures your device charges fast and safely. 18 thermal sensors are provided to monitor the battery at all times to ensure safe charging. This is why the device has the TüV Rheinland Safe Fast-Charge System certification.
