Glo mobile offers cost-effective high-speed internet to post-paid mobile subscribers. The high-speed internet service called Glo 3G Plus, is based on HSDPA technology. Outside Glo 3G coverage, subscribers can access internet via GPRS/EDGE. Read about Glo Data Plan for prepaid subscribers

Glo now offer four high-speed internet packages for post-paid subscribers, namely:

  • Glo 24/7 Internet (always on)
  • Glo day Internet surfing
  • Glo night Internet browsing
  • Glo weekend Internet browsing

Glo 24/7 Internet (always on)

Glo always on internet package gives you 24/7 access to the internet on the Glo mobile 3.5G network. There is however a limit of 3GB. 3GB is more than enough for an average user, it equivalent to up to 30,000 websites at 100kb/website. However, if you download/upload lots of data it may not be enough.

Glo 24/7 internet package costs N19,500 with one month free internet access. This includes the cost of a HSDPA USB modem or a PCMCIA modem. These modems enable you connect your personal computer (PC) to the internet.

In subsequent months, you pay a monthly rental of 10,000 naira to access the internet.

Glo day Internet Surfing

Glo Day surfing is targeted at businesses and provide internet access to subscribers between 9am and 9pm. If you browse the internet only during the day this internet package is meant for you.

Glo day internet surfing costs N15,500 with one month free day surfing access. This price includes the cost of a HSDPA USB modem or a PCMCIA modem. These internet modems enable you connect your PC (desktop or laptop) to the World Wide Web.

In subsequent months, you pay a monthly rental of N6,000 to access the Glo day surf internet bundle.

Glo Night Internet Browsing

Want to save more on internet access, and do not mind browsing at night, the Glo night internet browsing plan is for you. Glo night internet browsing gives subscribers access to the web from between 9pm to 9am.

Glo night browsing costs N14,500 with one month free night browsing internet access. This price includes the cost of a HSDPA USB modem or a PCMCIA modem. These internet modems enable you connect your PC (desktop or laptop) to the World Wide Web.

In subsequent months, you pay a monthly rental of N4,500 to access the Glo night browsing package.

Glo Weekend Internet Browsing

Very busy during working days? Well Glo thoughtfully provides a weekend package specially tailored for you. Glo weekend internet package provides you internet access from 9pm Friday to 9am Monday.

Glo weekend internet browsing costs N13,500 with one month free weekend browsing internet access. This price includes the cost of a HSDPA USB modem or a PCMCIA internet modem. These internet modems enable you connect your PC (desktop or laptop) to the World Wide Web.

In subsequent months, you pay a monthly rental of N4,000 to access the Glo weekend browsing package.

Glo internet packages are very competitive and compares very well with CDMA operators. A Glo SIM will be placed in the USB or PCMCIA modem before you can access any of the services.

Glo mobile was the first GSM company to launch 3.5G network (branded Glo 3G plus) in Nigeria. 3.5G HSDPA high-speed internet provides download speed of up to 3.6Mbps.

Glo offers internet services on 3.5G, EDGE, and GPRS networks. We can confirm that Glo has extensive 3G plus coverage in Lagos, Port Harcourt, Benin, and Abuja. Glo 3G plus may not be available in all locations in these cities. If you live outside these cities, you can call Glo customer care on 121 using a Glo line to confirm whether your area is under 3G plus coverage.
