NIIT Nigeria has announced the commencement of the 12th edition of the NIIT Nigeria Scholarship program for IT training. To apply, fill in the free application form for the 2011 edition of the NIIT Nigeria IT training scholarship at your nearest NIIT centre. According to the announcement, forms will also be available at select Zenith Bank Plc branches. Application ends on 15th July, 2011.
NIIT Nigeria IT Scholarship program offers you partial fee waivers on an IT training programs of their choice depending on your performance in the NIIT 2011 Scholarship test and interview. According to the announcement applicants who appear for the NIIT 2011 scholarship test will receive 100% free voucher on Internationally Certified Employability Course. The announcement also states that four students, upon registration will get to visit the land of IT - India via a lucky draw. Note that terms and conditions apply.
Qualifying test for the NIIT IT Scholarship 2011 will be held on Saturday July 16, 2011, at all NIIT centres nationwide. Dates for interviews for successful candidates will be announced later. The NIIT Nigeria IT scholarship is open to all students, workers, undergraduates, and anyone who desires to become a specialist in Information Technology.

Thanks alot guys for the info.
FYI, if the results are out they won't tell you your scores, they will only tell you that you passed or you failed.
As of last year, if they tell you that you passed, you will then be asked to pay Five Thousand Naira for acceptance fee.
If you paid the acceptance fee you will then be told your test scores which will determine the waiver percentage you'll get. For instance if you score 60% in the test you'll be given a 60% discount in your desired course.
This was last year I do not know if they might change it this year.
what i dont like about it is the non refundable fee of 5000 they collect before showing u the result. What if u eventually could not pay d training fee? Ur 5000 is gone down d drain.
Well, I do not think one should pay before seeing their results. If they are doing that, it is unethical and amounts to exploitation or even 419. I hope it will not be the case this year.
If they continue with collection of 5000 naria it amouts to technological robbery.
well,collecting 5000 from people before seeing their score is not ideal,if they really want to help they should allow them to see their result before paying for d registration fee.5000,no b small money guys!
judging from the aforementioned, it therefore means that the purpose of the so called schoolarship is totally defeated. idealy, your scores should not determine the discount percentage in payment for desired course. I want to reserve my comment because i dont believe this is applicable in all the countries where NIIT is represented.
Nigeria is a country where everybody can come and do anything and go free. How can we pay 5000 because we want to see our result? Efcc must here this!
It's so ridiculous if they demand #5000 before they show result. I bet them maybe 5% of the participants will check the result. Trial by error

Pls can someone tell me the minimum percentage score for a pass?.I am saying this because I learnt that your percentage score is equivalent to your waiver percent of the actual cost of training for your chosen course.If 30% can go for a pass that means you will be given 30% discount? Nonsense
I succedded in the scholarship exam of NIIT as reported that i scores A+ but i am asked to pay N5000, for registered and other fees b/f i could start attending the study. it is a surprised named scholarship. please i need to be addressed properly.
1) Pls how much is the entire program listed above. so i can know what to budget
2) Can someone pick just one course?
3) Sun business component developer (scbcd) java. is it solely a business school? or is it meant for programmers? can someone interested in business development go for it?

I wrote their test last yr and attended their interview,non of us that came was asked 2 pay b4 we were allowed 2 check our result. The scholarship depends on ur performance,their grades varies; failed,A,A+,A++,Excellent. U can choose 1 of d courses,u can even change d course after u must av written d exam. I chose CCNA ,but was advice 2 take Oracle wen i was interviewd. D oracle was #275,000 and ccna #175,000.i scord A+ & was askd 2 pay 4 oracle 175,000 & for ccna 125,000 bcos of my score in which d #5000 on it is 4 registratn.we were told dat if we pay d 5000 we wil secure d scholarsp & can com back anytym 2 do d course. Anybody can go 4 it,from even 7 yrs old 2 even old ppl.
When are we going to become producers of high-tech equipments and gadgets? When are we going to stop consuming all sorts of foreign items and begin to produce ours and get others buy and consume them? What do our ICT trainers teach? They still insist that we remain consumers and never producers. Please, give us something better or ...
